Concorde states as much in its descriptions of its more than 20 programs. We provide students hands-on, real-world training. It's really the only way you can receive your health care education and be comprehensively prepared from Day 1 for whatever career path you choose. Concorde Career Institute in Jacksonville, Fl. hosted what it called a Code Blue Open House Wednesday, April 12. Department heads from all eight of the campus's programs came together and produced real-life simulations in a hospital setting. They reproduced situations that could happen in their respective fields.
Health care education simulations
Nursing students were given patients in various conditions and instructed to provide care appropriate to the circumstance. Physical Therapist Assistant students were presented patients with a variety of different injuries that required specific care and treatment. Surgical Technology students were given specific surgical situations and instructed to set up and prepare the operating room as they've been instructed. And so on. It was health care education by doing, not just watching and listening. Concorde's Jacksonville students learned a lot. They had a great time, adding to the enthusiasm of the work.
